Old Age Home

Old Age Home is a home to elderly homeless people who are deprived of care they need and are left alone in the society.

It caters for both male and female. The Old Home has all the facilities to cater for personal, medical and social needs of the inmates. The services are provided free of charge.

Capacity

45 senior citizens 24 male inmates and 16 female inmates. Gender vies Separate buildings.

Facilities

Single beds, linen, cupboard, laundry, appropriate clothing, shoes, grooming, food (3 meals and tea), doctor visit, medicine supply, medicine administration by qualified staff every day, specialist doctors available on need basis. doctors on panel. Pathology tests done at a local reputable lab. Ambulance service. For medical treatment, movement to other hospitals, care homes depending on doctor’s recommendation.

Social and Entertainment, Religious events, national events. Outing.

Food, clothing and medicine are funded from Zakat fund. Admin expenses including rent, utility bills, wages, etc are NOT paid from Zakat fund.

Accommodation

Room types. 2, 3, 4, 5 inmates per room. Airconditioned, heated. Water cold and warm. Toilet and showers together.

Admission Policy

First priority is given to those homeless elderly people who do not have a family carer (children or spouse). Second priority is given to those elderly people who are disable and cannot afford their living.

We give the lowest priority to such applicants who have been abandoned by their families because of domestic issues or disputes.

False reporting regarding homelessness will give the right to Najjat to expel the inmate without prior notice.

Recommendation by the doctor before admission. No need to be hospitalized. No contagious disease. No isolation facility available. Rights of admission reserved.
