1. Educational Scholarships
Financial support to students who qualify to receive Zakat according to Shariah guidelines on monthly basis.
Application process. Supporting documents – application on plain paper handwritten or type written. ID card copy of the applicant. School fees card. Last year progress report. Recommendation for zakat eligibility. Application from parents or guardian. Age range 4 – 18 years. Duration of one year. renewable every year subject to pass the previous class.
Support includes Monthly tuition fees, notebooks for the year. Stationery. For special cases, winter and summer uniform.
2. Food Supplies
Providing raw food, dry ration on monthly basis. Includes flour, rice, ghee, sugar, lentils, pulses, tea. Pack for 3 persons. Only for Zakaat deserving people. Priority is given to widows and orphans. Collection only. By recipient or their nominee. Upto one year. Renewable for the next. Subject to availability of funds.
3. Community Health Support Services
Providing medicines and equipment to poor and needy in the government hospitals. These arrangements are made from the Zakaat Sadaqa and other donations. The equipment includes wheel chairs, crutches and oxygen cylinder. Subject to availability of funds and equipment.
Recommendation and prescription of the concerned department of the hospital. Discretion of Najjat for approval of the case. Medicines provided. Cash not reimbursed.
Service One – Permanent donation of wheel chair. (only for Zakat deserving).
Service Two – Temporary usage (not necessarily Zakat deserving). Community service.
Security Deposit for wheel chair 3500 and oxygen cylinder 4000. Refund on return of equipment in same condition. Security not refunded in case of loss or theft. Delivery to the office.
All above subject to availability of funds and equipment.
4. Public Kitchen
To accommodate the community who cannot afford and for those passengers who came for labor from other areas, we serve dinner (langar)twice a week at Banni Chowk, Rawalpindi. Alhamdullilah, Najjat Trust serve 200 people a day without any discrimination with the help of ALLAH and from those who can afford.
Donors can make donations in shape of kind like rice, cooking oil, meat, vegetables, onion, tomato and others.
We also collect cash donations (sadqa, zakaat) against donation receipt for the purpose.
5. Funeral Services
Burial of unidentified or unclaimed dead bodies. The service also includes supply of coffin box and the shroud (“Kafen”). Dead body received through the concerned police station along with the request letter of the concerned SHO and death certificate, postmortem report from the government hospital. Must be in the presence of the concerned police officer. No opening of the grave, no excavation of the grave, no movement of the buried. Whether originally buried by Najjat or not. Only the record provided by the police saved and provided on request. No fees or charges.
